The SAT Physics Test covers the following seven subject areas: Mechanics; Electricity and Magnetism; Waves and Optics; Heat and Thermodynamics; Modern Physics (quantum, atomic, particle physics; relativity), and other miscellaneous concepts (graphical analysis and measurement); and Contemporary topics (including astrophysics, superconductivity, and chaos theory).In this test approximately 12% to 20 % of the questions concern fundamental concepts and knowledge; 48% to 64%are single concepts problems and about 20% to 35% are multiple concept problems.
