American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) 10 aims at students with an enthusiasm for problem-solving. They should be in Grade 10 or below and under 17-and-a-half years of age on the day of the contest. It is a 25-question, 75-minute, multiple-choice examination covering High School Math through the 10th grade. The competition is sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America and is designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills in students. AMC 10 covers Math normally associated with grades 9 and 10. The competition assumes knowledge of mathematical problem solving using Algebra, Geometry (including the Pythagorean Theorem), Area and Volume, Number Theory, Probability, and other secondary school Math topics.
